Instructors: Monica Shah, Associate, Digital Transformation, eCampusOntario; Laura Viselli, Senior Manager, Research and Foresight, eCampusOntario

Target Audience: This Digital Transformation (Dx) Leadership program is intended for individuals in a leadership role, Deans, Administrators, faculty, instructors, and anyone who aspires to take a leadership role.

Description of the webinar:

This webcast will feature eCampusOntario’s newly developed Leadership for Digital Transformation (Dx) in Higher Education training program.

Previous work by eCampusOntario highlighted the important role that institutional leaders play in promoting a culture of innovation. Leaders influence strategic direction, dedication of resources, and foster open communication systems that create the conditions under which the ongoing process of Dx can occur.

Deliberate development of leadership through a digital lens can help future and current leaders in their important role. Based on sector research and engagement with a community of practice, eCampusOntario has spent the past twelve months developing open education resources and a new leadership development program specific to Dx in higher education. This program is ready to be launched soon and will address the key competencies required to lead and support Digital Transformation at an institutional level.

Join us as we discuss the five overarching Dx leadership competencies that inform this innovative program.

At the end of the webinar, the participants will have a better understanding of:

  • How Dx leadership can promote a culture of innovation.
  • Five key competencies to support Dx Leadership and why they are important.
  • How transformative leadership can support Dx in your institution.
